Lead the Work. Lead the Team. Make a Difference.

TruBlue Home Service Ally is a growing home services company providing trusted handyman repairs, home maintenance, and safety upgrades to homeowners throughout our community.

As part of a national franchise system with more than 120 locations across the country, TruBlue combines the resources and support of an established brand with the personal service of a local business.

We specialize in helping seniors age safely and independently in their homes, while also providing dependable home maintenance and repair services for busy families and homeowners who simply want their homes taken care of the right way.

We're looking for an experienced Lead Home Service Technician / Handyman who is ready to take the next step in their career — someone who can lead by example, mentor other technicians, communicate confidently with customers, and take pride in delivering exceptional workmanship.

What You'll Do

As our Lead Home Service Technician, you'll be both a skilled craftsman and a leader in the field.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform high-quality home maintenance, repair, and remodeling projects

  • Lead, coach, and support a team of Tru-Pro® technicians

  • Serve as a resource and mentor to less-experienced technicians

  • Help ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently

  • Communicate professionally with customers and help manage expectations on-site

  • Identify problems and develop practical solutions

  • Maintain TruBlue's high standards for workmanship, professionalism, and customer service

  • Help ensure jobsites are clean, organized, and treated with respect

  • Represent TruBlue professionally in customers' homes and throughout the community

Common Projects

Our technicians work on a wide variety of residential projects, including:

  • Bathroom and kitchen upgrades

  • Drywall repair, patching, and finishing

  • Flooring installation and repair

  • General carpentry

  • Door, trim, and finish work

  • Interior and exterior painting

  • General home repairs and maintenance

  • Basic plumbing and electrical work within the appropriate scope

  • Home safety and accessibility upgrades

  • Other residential remodeling and improvement projects

No two days are exactly alike. You'll use your experience to solve problems, complete quality work, and help your team succeed.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced professional who knows how to do the work and knows how to lead others.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 10+ years of hands-on home repair, remodeling, or construction experience

  • Experience managing, training, or mentoring other technicians preferred

  • Strong carpentry and general home repair skills

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

  • A strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

  • The ability to work independently while also supporting a team

  • A professional, positive, and customer-focused attitude

  • A strong work ethic and reliable attendance

  • Pride in doing the job right — and doing right by your customers and teammates

  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • A complete set of professional tools

  • Fluent English communication skills

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

What You'll Get

  • Year-round, consistent work

  • Reliable hours and flexible scheduling

  • Strong office and leadership support

  • Company vehicle and TruBlue gear, depending on location and role

  • A professional team environment built on compassion, trust, and respect

  • The opportunity to mentor and develop other skilled technicians

  • A leadership position with room to grow

  • The satisfaction of doing meaningful work that improves people's lives
